Manual Adjusting

One of the most used techniques our doctors use is manual adjusting. This is the hands on type of adjusting most people see or know of. The adjustment itself consists of Dr. Henke applying controlled, quick pressure to joints, pushing them just beyond their restricted range of motion.

Car Accident

& Work Injuries

Injuries from work or car accidents take time to recover from. If you've been in a collision, or are suffering from a work injury, we can help rehabilitate you so that you can get back to your daily life.

Arthrostim Instrument

The ArthroStim® Instrument delivers true high-velocity, short-stroke thrusts at 12 cycles a second. This rapidity supersaturates the target area with specific adjustive energy (forces). With the Arthrostim, there is no twisting, turning or “cracking” of joints which some patients prefer and feel more comfortable with.

Assisted Stretching

Stretching is something we all want to do and know it is good for us, yet somehow we never manage to get around to it. Learn about the benefits of assisted stretching, and the technique we use called Active Isolated Stretching (AIS). Active Isolated Stretching can help your training and recovery become more efficient and more fun.

Decompression Therapy

The Cox table uses decompression and flexion as the patients lower body is stretched and lowered repetitively. This type of treatment is ideal for low back pain, bulging disks, nerve pain and much more.  This hands on approach allows the chiropractor to respond immediately to the patients needs.

Back & Neck
Pain Relief

Chiropractic is a natural, healthy way to relieve pain around the neck and back, rather than using drugs or surgeries. This approach focuses on the problem area and gets to the root of the pain, offering relief as well as invigorating  the natural healing capabilities of the body.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

1. Stress Relief

Research shows that chiropractic care enhances a patient’s mood by improving natural hormone balance. Through adjustments, patients experience a reduction in bad hormones, including cortisol, while simultaneously increasing beneficial hormones, such as a dopamine and norepinephrine.

Each of the good hormones produced through chiropractic care may help in alleviating anxiety or situational depression brought about by the winter holidays, or life’s hectic schedule, and the aches and pains associated with it.

2. Body Performance

Chiropractic treatment is also beneficial in setting the stage for optimal body performance.

Whether a patient engages in regular physical activities for competition or leisure, treatment from a chiropractic professional can increase oxygenation, improve circulation and enhance flexibility. A body that is able to perform at its best allows patients to experience more efficient functioning on multiple levels which can lead to faster recovery.

3. Preventative Pain Management

The majority of adults experience daily stressors that can lead to small, unnoticeable injuries over time. According to the American Chiropractic Association, these “micro-injuries” are often ignored until they present severe pain or discomfort.

Chiropractic care provides a safe and effective method for preventative pain management, allowing patients to correct or address minor injuries before they turn into debilitating issues.

4. Pain Relief

One of the most well-known benefits of receiving chiropractic care is the reduction of bodily aches and pains. Treatment allows patients to reverse the effects of injury or stress to the spine, which often manifests as lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain or discomfort in the hips and knees.

Instead of blanketing pain with prescription medication or unnecessary surgery, a chiropractic adjustment can alleviate common pain symptoms and ultimately treat underlying issues.

5. Treatment Cost Reduction

Because Doctors of Chiropractic address treatment through a collaborative approach, care often results in more efficient and satisfactory experience had by patients.

The American Chiropractic Association cites that the whole-body treatment methods implored by chiropractic care professionals equate to cost savings at an estimated 20% when compared to care plans initiated by medical doctors. This is partially due to the reduction in need or suggestion for surgery or other treatment plans that result in high out-of-pocket and insurance costs for patients.
