Manual Chiropractic Adjusting

Manual adjusting is one of the most beneficial chiropractic techniques you can have done at our Enumclaw, WA office. This type of hands on adjusting helps relieve back pain, but it also provides many other benefits.

Back Pain Discomfort

Life is much less enjoyable if you have pain and discomfort in your back. Back pain is usually caused my pressure building up in the spine. Pressure that is not addressed can get worse and can be harder to reverse, which can inhibit you further.

Manual Chiropractic Benefits

There are many other benefits to manual chiropractic adjustments.

Some of the greatest benefits are:

  • Strengthened immune system

  • Improved joint mobility, functions, and greater health in general

  • Reduced pain by decreasing inflammation and unlocking restricted joints

Let's review these benefits.

Strengthen your immune system

With an increased immune system you are able to fight off sickness and disease. When your body is not working optimally you can become more susceptible to illnesses.

Improves your joint mobility, functionality and health in general

With improved joint mobility, functionality, and health you are able to live life to the fullest. No longer are you inhibited by restricted strength and health.

Reduces your pain by decreasing inflammation and unlocking restricted joints

With the release of pressure and pain in your restricted joints you can engage in more activities. Activities like hiking, skiing, running, sports, and playing with your children are all possible for you.

The Manual Chiropractic Adjustment Process

Manual adjusting allows our chiropractors to restore your range of motion. Controlled, quick pressure to joints, push them beyond their restricted range of motion.

Rather than a "one adjustment fits all approach", our chiropractors are able to assess what adjustments your body needs.  This helps to correct misalignments or other problems specific to your body.

The manual adjustment process is as follows:

  • Evaluation & Physical Exam

  • Discussing your customized treatment

  • Treatment begins

  • Stretching to "fine tune" your adjustment

Now let's touch on each of these below.

Evaluation & physical exam

A session begins with evaluating your concerns and or symptoms. This is done so we can find the treatment that best fits your needs.

Choosing your customized treatment

Depending on the symptoms and your scenario, we then discuss what adjustment will work best for your needs.

Treatment session begins

Most of our patients choose to lay on one of our massage traction tables which helps loosen the muscles before the adjustment.
Once you are ready for the chiropractors to begin adjusting, we guide you into the position (face down, face up, standing against the wall, on your side, etc.). Then your chiropractor uses manual movements based on your needs and comfort.

Final massage

Once the manual adjusting is finished,  a massage is sometimes given with a vibracussor to massage the muscles for a minute or two. This massage sort of “fine tunes” the adjustment for the best possible result.
